Poll: Majority Of Republicans Now Say Colleges Are Bad For America

A Pew poll released Monday shows that Republicans’ views of higher education institutions have taken a dramatic turn for the worse since 2015.

In September 2015, 54 percent of Republicans told Pew that they had a positive stance on college and universities, while 37 percent felt negatively toward them.

Today, their attitude seems to have taken a complete U-turn, with 58 percent of Republicans saying that colleges and universities had a “negative effect on the way things are going in the country.” Only 36 percent maintained that they’re good for the country.

Anti intellectualism is a disease. We’ve passed through the looking glass from willfully ignorant to aggressively stupid. Soon, watering plants with water instead of Brawndo will be considered a Liberal idea.

  1. When I was a teenager – years ago now – I read a short story (worst thing is, I can’t remember the title or find it again, bugger) about a boy in his early teens just prior to a big test.
At the end, his parents get the telegram stating that the boy had, “…exceeded the required intelligence…” and as such wasn’t coming back, presumbably having been put to sleep like an unwanted dog.
When I was a teen, I thought it an interesting story but certainly not plausible.
The more I watch the GOP and its followers, I begin to wonder…

  2. So why do they want the H1B visa’s?
