So, I’m a pilot with Flying Medical Service (http://www.FlyingMedicalService.org) in Tanzania. We provide child vaccinations, pregnant mother checkups, and we see patients for any ailment. Along with the clinics, we are available for emergency flights. The only reason I’m posting these pictures, basically, is to try and help the organization fund raise for a replacement plane. I’m hoping this gets us some traffic to our site where we’re trying a crowdfunding thing. Either way, enjoy the pix sickos 🙂 The plane didn’t come to a halt until 200 feet away from the acacia tree that got my wing and the engine itself was 60 feet from there. There were 5 people on board, the two of us up front sustained the least injuries. The two in the middle got fractured pelvises, and the one in the back had face injuries but nothing internal. Everyone has already been released from the hospital (despite this happening last week). Pretty amazing considering the destruction.

  1. My brother-in-law died piloting his personal plane on my birthday in 1995… 🙁 I’m just glad that all the people survived this one!
