Perfect home schooling example, or perfect Poe’s Law example?

  1. Newsflash: Ducks are more evolved than the Romans were. But the writer doesn’t believe in evolution. Wait…

  2. I’m just trying to figure out the “more equal” line. Seems like a reference to Orwell’s ‘Animal Farm’, but people like this generally have no sense of satire…

  3. So, presumably, it was teh gayz that brought down the Roman Empire? And gayness will cause us to lose ground to those ducks who are just waiting for their chance to take over? And the government is trying to bring us back to the stone age, which was probably NOT gay because if it led to the Roman Empire, it would show that being gay can move things forward quite nicely thank you, so that we can compete with those ducks (are they stone-age ducks at this point?).

And evolution says that we shouldn’t be competing with ducks although evolution doesn’t exist so…

Wait, I’m lost. Does that mean we SHOULD be competing with the ducks now?

Stuff it, I’m just going to crack open a beer and welcome our new duck overlords…

Now, have I overcome Poe’s Law or fallen victim to it?

  4. Most of the time : Homeschooling = Religious Whackos

  5. @Phil – agree. Looks like the parents are raising a first class quack. Oh and I got news for Jasmin, some ducks are gay http://blogs.scientificamerican.com/extinction-countdown/2009/03/10/gay-ducks-derail-repopulation-plan/

  6. @Mykolas – and let’s not mention the phenomenon of gang-rapist and infanticidal ducks. They are quite human.

  7. Not like there aren’t plenty of schools teaching Creationism. Remind me what percentage of Americans believe in evolution? Home schooling isn’t the problem.
