A billionaire in Australia has announced plans to build an “unsinkable” version of the Titanic100 years after the original ship sank after hitting an iceberg.

The Titanic II, announced on Monday, is expected to retrace the steps of its predecessor with a maiden voyage from England to North America in late 2016.

“It is going to be designed so it won’t sink”, Clive Palmer, a mining and tourism tycoon told reporters.

“It will be designed as a modern ship with all the technology to ensure that doesn’t happen.”

Oh, this is too easy…c`mon help me out with a snarky comment here!

  1. Perhaps it’s possible to ship 12000 jars of condiment with that journey?

  2. I don`t relish that thought.

  3. Negating verbs with [ n’t ] is a 100% guarantee of the Exact opposite. It goes by the common reference of “The Perversity of Inanimate Objects” but it is almost always caused by human arrogance.

  4. It won’t sink because all the icebergs have melted.

  5. Or as an old navy man once said to me, “East of Suez, West of Panama; I’ve been through Hell-man!”

  6. Interesting fact: Noone from the company ever claimed that the Titanic is unsinkable, that story was fabricated by a newspaper after the catastrophe to make the headlines even more interesting and sensationalist.
